Guess what I learned yesterday . . . .

Here’s what I have to say . . . . .

Yesterday, I heard a preacher on the radio say “Why worry about tomorrow?  Tomorrow has enough worries of its own.”  I have heard this a million times in my 35 years but today it really hit me hard.

I like to plan things out but I think I’ve made planning my god.  Being ignorant of the future is irresponsible but sometimes I obsess about the future.

I’m going to try harder.  I’ll plan, but not obsess.  I’ll let today happen as it comes and not worry about tomorrow because I just heard yesterday that tomorrow has enough worries of its own.

What inspires me~

I love music.  Everybody is different and we all get our inspiration in different ways.  Listening to music is how I get mine and I want to share the top 3 songs that have spoken to me this week.

ENJOY!

Are you able to watch?

With Easter approaching we turn our thoughts to events that happened so long ago.  At this time of year, we break out Passion of the Christ and watch with anticipation, even though we know the ending. This movie is hard to watch.  With every lash to Christ’s back, I see the sin that I have committed.

Are you able to watch Passion of the Christ?  I’ve heard several people say they are unable to watch this very moving movie because it is so graphic and disturbing.  I know this is true but think about this.  Do you think God has a problem watching us? Everyday, we live our lives without really thinking that God is watching us. He sees it ALL.  Do you think he sees our lives being graphic and disturbing?

Here goes . . .

So, today I start my blog.  My husband, Steven, has a blog and I will not be outdone. I always have something to say, so here goes!

Today at church, the pastor asked us to give our specific problems to God.  We walked to the alter and laid anything that was keeping us from a deeper relationship with God there, not to ever pick it up again.  I did and I will not look back and that is a promise!

I learned today that God stopped the sun from moving many years ago to get his work done (Joshua 10).  Why would he not do that for me?  God is my father and has my best interest in mind.  Why should I fear?  Why should I stay awake at night when God is on my side?

Lord, I believe in You!
